彖传 · Tuan Zhuan Commentary
离，丽也。日月丽乎天，百谷草木丽乎土，重明以丽乎正，乃化成天下。柔丽乎中正，故亨，是以畜牝牛吉也。
Li means clinging/brightness. The sun and moon cling to Heaven; the hundred grains and plants cling to Earth. Doubled brightness clinging to correctness transforms and perfects the world. The yielding clings to what is central and correct, therefore success - this is why raising cows brings good fortune.

离卦代表光明依附。如日月丽天，万物附地。以柔顺依附正道，光明磊落，可成大事。
