用神取用原则
Yong Shen Selection Principles1. 用神宜旺不宜衰
用神得日月生扶为旺，受日月克泄为衰。旺衰可提示事情较有助力或阻力较多，但不能单独推出成败。
Supported by month/day suggests stronger support; drained or controlled suggests more friction. It is a symbolic reference, not a standalone success-or-failure rule.
2. 用神宜动不宜静
用神发动常提示事情有变化或可观察的新动向。用神安静多提示进展较缓，需要结合世应、动爻和变卦理解。
A moving Subject Spirit can suggest change or a new development; stillness can suggest a slower pattern. Read it with World-Response, moving lines, and the changed hexagram.
3. 用神忌空亡、忌破
用神空亡或逢破，传统上提示象义不稳定、信息不足或阻力较多，仍需回到具体问题综合判断。
Void (kong wang) or month-break suggests unstable imagery, missing support, or added friction in the traditional method; it is not a final judgment by itself.
4. 用神忌被克、忌化绝
用神被忌神克制，或动而化绝、化破，传统上可提示状态转弱、阻力增加或需要调整方向。
Being controlled or transforming into extinction/break can suggest weakening, added friction, or a need to adjust direction within the traditional reading frame.

For wealth, it is the Wife-Wealth line; for exams, the Parent line; for health concerns, Officer-Ghost and related line images may be reviewed as traditional references. Its strength and interactions are important traditional references, but the reading still depends on context, World-Response, moving lines, and the changed hexagram; it is not professional advice or a certain outcome.
如何选取正确的用神？ How to select the correct Yong Shen?
选取用神的基本原则：占自己之事看世爻，占父母长辈看父母爻，占子女看子孙爻，占配偶和财运看妻财爻，占工作考试看官鬼爻（求名）或父母爻（求学）。特殊情况需灵活变通。Basic principles: for personal matters, use the Shi (Self) line; for parents/elders, the Parent line; for children, the Offspring line; for spouse/wealth, the Wife-Wealth line; for career, the Officer-Ghost line; for studies, the Parent line. Special cases require flexible judgment.
用神不上卦怎么办？ What if the Yong Shen is absent from the hexagram?
当用神不在卦中出现（"用神不上卦"或"用神伏藏"），需要查找伏神——即该用神藏在哪个爻位之下。伏神能否发挥作用取决于飞神（上面的爻）与伏神的五行关系。When the Yong Shen does not appear in the hexagram (hidden/absent), look for the "Hidden Spirit" (Fu Shen)—which line it is concealed beneath. Whether the hidden Yong Shen can function depends on the Five Element relationship between the Flying Spirit (visible line) above and the hidden one below.
